This project was a fairly straighforward transcription of my grandfather’s journal he kept while serving during WW2. Robert E. Maringer (he went by Bob Maringer) served in occupied Japan after the war. I struggled occasionally with wanting to change and modernize some of the language, but I kept it as true as possible to his writing.
Only a handful of copies were printed for friends and family, but I’m happy to share the file if anyone is interested in reading it.
